Hello friends!

Sonia and I have been back in Argentina now for about a month and a half now and, wow, it's been non-stop! We'd like to give you some highlights of our recent return and some of the things God has been doing here in Argentina.

Getting Settled
Probably the most time consuming has been getting settled into our home again in Argentina. If you have ever moved from one place to another, you know how long it can take. Thankfully after our container arrived here in Cordoba, we were able to unload it quickly and begin moving into our home. Though we still have some boxes to unload (doesn't everybody?), the majority of the "move" is done and we are enjoying having a place to call "home".

Bible School Activities
Two weeks after our arrival, our second semester began at the school. We have enjoyed getting to know the 1st year students during this time and working closely with our staff as we moved into the new leadership role here at the Bible college. Both Sonia and I are teaching classes on campus and Stephen is speaking on a weekly basis at the school's main service. We are asking God to continue to guide us, giving direction and wisdom with each step and decision we make at the school. It's a very busy time for us but an exciting one! We believe God is up to something good.

Prayer Requests
Please pray for us that these next 2 months go well here at the school. We have a number of speaking engagements, a busy teaching schedule and other pressing commitments in the days ahead. The school is needing much repair and maintenance, so please pray that we would have the resources to help meet these needs. For example, our roof is currently leaking, we have some electrical issues causing the power to go out and our project for the security wall will, Lord willing, be getting underway very soon. We trust in a God that can meet these and many other needs!

Good morning Friends,

Greetings once again from the beautiful land of Argentina!

We have now been back on the mission field for a little more than a week. We’ve had a wonderful time of seeing friends and colleagues once again as we get further settled into our home here in the city of Cordoba.

Thank you for praying for our safe return and for our luggage! Everything made it just fine. For the last week, our goal has been to get our home in order and to make arrangements to receive our container which arrives in Buenos Aires on Wednesday, August 26th!

Would you please join us in praying that all goes well with the papers and customs process over the next few days! We’ll let you know how it turns out.

Also, please pray for us over the next couple weeks as we begin to take on our daily responsibilities as directors of the Bible school here. We are convinced that God is up to something good at the school and what a privilege it is to serve together for the sake of His Kingdom!

Hello Friends,

We’re pleased to give you another update on our progress to get back to Argentina. The big event this week was the loading and shipping of our 20 ft. container to Argentina. We would like to thank those who helped support us with different donations and items which will bless the school in Cordoba. As Sonia and I purchased different items, we weren’t sure if everything would fit in. Thankfully, we were able to get it all in, though with very little space left. We would like to thank Living Hope Worship Center, Evangel Church and Nuco Title Insurance company for items that were donated to help our students. Thank you very much for blessing Argentina!

We will continue to be here in the US over the next few weeks before heading back to Argentina on August 14th. We appreciate your continued support and help.

Hello once again!

If you’ve been following our posts and newsletters, then you’re aware that we’ll soon be back in Argentina, serving at the Bible school in the city of Córdoba. As we prepare for our return, our plans include shipping a 20’ container by ocean to Argentina. This larger capacity will make it possible for us to bring into the country items impossible to carry with us on the plane.

Because of this opportunity, we’d like share some of our pressing needs at the Bible school. Perhaps, you or your church might be able to donate items. Since we only have a couple weeks to make this happen, please get in touch with us ASAP by phone or email. The deadline for items will be Monday, July 20th.

Urgent Items Needed:

• Computers for the school library (Win/Mac, 1GHz or better)
• Used computer monitors in working condition (17” preferred)
• Any hand tools, lawn mowers or garden equipment would be extremely helpful as we have 9+ acres of land to maintain on campus.
• Digital camera for taking photographs on campus and for publications
• Bed sheets/blankets in good condition (Single, Twin or Queen)
• Personal toiletry items for our students (soap, shampoo, personal hygiene products, etc.)
• School supplies (pens, pencils, etc.)

Just a final reminder that his weekend is the conclusion to our exciting matching funds challenge.

For the last 52 days, we’ve been raising money to help build a new security wall for the Bible school in Cordoba, Argentina. This is a large project and we only need about $3,500 more to have raised $30,000!

Hello again!

Just a quick note that we added some photos to our “Media” section of the new mattresses recently purchased.

Many of you gave sacrificially toward this project and we wanted to inform you that we got some photos in. We’ll be posting some additional ones shortly, but this should give you an idea of the great blessing we have been to these future pastors and church leaders. All in all we have purchased more than 70 kits of mattresses, blankets and pillows for our students!

Dear Friends,

We would like to further update you on our progress for the “Nehemiah Challenge” project. As you know, the security of our students is of the upmost importance. In order for us to safely secure our campus, we will need approximately $30,000 for the construction of a security wall. At the moment here is where we stand:

• We currently have close to $10,000 given or pledged toward this project.
• If we include the matching funds portion, we will have raised about $20,000 of the intended $30,000 so far.

We have just a couple more weeks to raise an additional $5,000 which will in turn be matched. Please consider joining with us as we trust God to provide the resources to help secure our campus in Argentina! You can find out more about this project by visiting our “Current Projects” section.

Dear Friends,

We’re really excited to share with you a project that we are launching with the help of one of our churches. The project is called “The Nehemiah Challenge”. Let me explain what this is all about.

For quite some time now we have been alarmed by the number of break-ins and robberies happening on campus. In fact, though we have had guards helping us at the school, we still have had situations occur that have made the security of our students an area of deep concern. We want to change this. We will be constructing a security fence around the property of the Bible school and make other general enhancements to the main entrance (i.e. cameras, electric door, etc.) Essentially, this project has at its heart the security and well-being of our students. So here is how it works.

We have a challenge before us by a church to do something incredible -- raise the necessary funds for our security wall in about 52 days! Just as Nehemiah was instrumental in having the walls around Jerusalem built in only 52 days, we will believe together that we can raise the necessary resources in the same amount time for our wall. For every dollar raised between Easter weekend and May 31st, a church will match these funds up to $15,000! So basically this project costing more than $30,000 has just been cut in half! Will you consider joining with us and help see that our students study and prepare for ministry in a safe and secure environment?

Greetings!

We wanted to take a moment today to update you on the progress we have made on the mattresses at the Bible school.

First of all, we want to say THANK YOU to those churches and individuals who have written us and opened their hearts. You have been so generous! With the funds raised, we are looking at being able to completely renew all of our campus mattresses for both the general student body and married housing! This was more than we had anticipated. That’s more than 85 mattress sets! This means our students will soon be able to rest much better! This is especially important since classes are starting up again this week.

As soon as we have photos, we will post them here on the website so we may all together see how we’ve been able to bless these future ministers and leaders. Thanks!

If you or your church are interested in helping in other areas on campus, our other most pressing need is to secure our campus security fence. For every $200, we can extend this security wall by 1 meter. We have about 160 meters still to go. So, please consider what you or your church might be able to do today. Dear Friends,

We wanted to give you an update on one of our recent projects and needs. As you may have heard, we are in the process of raising some funds to help purchase new mattress sets, blankets and pillows for the Bible school in Córdoba. For every $100 raised we can purchase a new bedding set!

It has been more than 10 years since many of these mattresses were replaced and we are raising about $5,000 to help purchase enough sets to provide better bedding to our resident students who will be returning in March 2009.

Though we have nearly $3,000 raised, we still need your help. Check out our projects page for photos and more information. If your Women’s Ministries group, BGMC, Royal Rangers or Missionettes groups would like to bless these future pastors and leaders in Argentina, please visit either our contact or support page for ways to get involved.

Please pray for our progress as we continue our time of itineration. We still need many more churches and individuals to partner with us so we may return to Argentina soon.
